Hilton Thomson – Director, The Chefs Collection

Hilton Thomson has always had a love for good food and great flavour. After earning his BSc (Hons) in Animal Science from Stellenbosch University, he spent a few years working in conservation before deciding to follow his entrepreneurial instincts.

He spotted a gap in the market for high-quality, locally produced freeze-dried herbs - and that’s how The Chefs Collection was born. What started with herbs has now grown into a full range of spices, vegetable powders and seasonings that bring real flavour to everyday cooking.

Hilton is passionate about what he creates because he uses these products himself. He knows the difference that quality ingredients can make, and he’s on a mission to help home cooks and food lovers turn simple meals into something special.

At The Chefs Collection, the goal is simple: make it easy to cook like a chef whether indoors or outdoors - without needing to be one.
