At Rudy Project SA, we believe the best playground for the sports we love is the planet itself. That’s why we’re proud to introduce RideToZero, our commitment to pushing every part of what we do toward environmental sustainability. It’s not about being perfect overnight - it’s about making real changes that add up.

What is RideToZero?

RideToZero is more than a slogan. It’s a guiding philosophy under which every product, process, material choice, and piece of packaging is looked at through the lens of its environmental impact. Our aim is to minimize waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and support better practices - all while keeping performance, durability, and design front and center.

Key Pillars of Our Sustainability Journey

Here are some of the ways RideToZero is already making a difference:

  1. Bio-based Performance Materials
    We use Rilsan ClearŸ, a bio-based polymer derived entirely from renewable sources (oil from castor beans) that is BPA-free and engineered for durability, flexibility, and resistance - gear that can endure sweat, heat, cold, and impact. 
  2. Durability & Longevity
    Our gear is designed to last. The goal? Products that aren’t disposable. If something breaks or gets worn, we’ll help repair or replace parts - even if the exact model is discontinued.
  3. Smart Design with Timeless Style
    We design with versatility and timeless aesthetics in mind - not just what looks exciting now, but what continues to work and feel relevant over time. 
  4. Sustainable Packaging
    We’re switching to recycled, reused, and more eco-friendly materials for our packaging, eyewear cases and pouches - anything that surrounds the product, we want it to be as green as possible.
  5. Responsible Waste Management & Energy Use
    Already, a huge portion of our waste is diverted from landfill through recycling and reuse. We also generate renewable energy - for example, solar panels contribute a significant amount of power to our facilities each year.
  6. Environmental Awareness & Community Initiatives
    From planting trees through the Treedom platform to support communities in Cameroon, to aligning with the UN Agenda 2030 goals, we’re backing up our words with action.
