Q1: Why do your tinctures contain both water and ethanol? Can't you just use one?
The Explainer: It comes down to the golden rule of chemistry: like dissolves like. Different
beneficial compounds hide in different parts of the mushroom, and they require different keys to unlock them.

Think about coffee vs perfume: Caffeine is water-soluble, which is why we use hot
water to brew coffee or tea. But when we want the fragrance of essential oil for instance, we need ethanol to dissolve the oils. Because many medicinal compounds found in plants and mushrooms are oil/ethanol-soluble—they won't release their full power into plain water. -
The Mushroom Connection: Mushrooms work the exact same way. Their
immune-boosting sugars (beta-glucans) are water-soluble, but their adaptogenic,
stress-relieving compounds (triterpenoids) are alcohol-soluble. By using both pure water and alcohol, we ensure the customer gets a true full-spectrum product, not just half the benefits.
Q2: Why do you use ultrasound frequencies? What does sound have to do with extracting mushrooms?
The Explainer: Mushroom cell walls are made of chitin - the exact same incredibly tough material found in crustaceans. The human body can't digest raw chitin, so if you just eat raw mushroom powder, much of the goodness passes right through you. A Sound Solution: Ultrasound is just sound played at a frequency so high-pitched that human ears can't hear it. Sound travels as physical waves of pressure. We pass these silent vibrations through the liquid, which gently shakes and shatters those tough cell walls through a process called cavitation, releasing the active ingredients directly into the solvent solution, ready for your body to absorb them.
Q3: Why don't you just boil everything to speed things up?
The Explainer: It’s a delicate balancing act between speed and destruction. While it's true that higher temperatures speed up an extraction (just like a hot cup of tea brews faster than a cold one), going too hot causes thermal degradation. The Breakdown: Every delicate medicinal molecule has a specific breaking point where the heat literally causes the molecule to fall apart into simpler, useless pieces. By combining our ultrasound technology with precisely controlled, lower temperatures, we get the best of both worlds: we extract the maximum amount of goodness without ever overheating or "burning" the active compounds.
